Aug 2026 · Contract canceled
Henry County, IL
Henry County, Illinois, Sheriff Josh Verscheure announced August 19, 2026 that the sheriff’s office will end its Flock partnership on August 31. KWQC reported the cameras arrived in 2024, funded with drug-seizure proceeds rather than county tax dollars. Verscheure said the office saw no local misuse in two years and that Flock had helped investigations, but that public-trust and data-privacy concerns outweighed continuing. Distinct from Henry County, Virginia, and Henry County, Missouri.
