Oct 2026 · Cameras deactivated
Telluride, CO
At its Oct. 6, 2026 meeting the Town Council directed staff to strike funding for the Marshal's Department's two Flock license plate cameras on Highway 145 (the Spur), installed in 2024 at about $5,000 a year for both, citing privacy and data concerns; the town switched the cameras off immediately. Plate readers remain in nearby Mountain Village and Norwood (KOTO News; KVNF, Oct. 14, 2026).
