Wythe County Sheriff Anthony Cline announced September 1, 2026 that the sheriff's office is ending its Flock Safety contract. He said four Flock cameras had been a valuable investigative tool but that privacy, data collection, information sharing, and the constitutional rights of people not accused of a crime outweighed continuing.
