Davidson County, NC orders Flock cameras bagged after removal deadline passes
Commissioners voted unanimously Monday to cover the sheriff's 25 Flock cameras with bags until they are taken down. The board ended the contract Aug. 24 and expected the cameras off the next day and removed within 30 days, but they were still on their poles seven weeks later; The Dispatch reported the system stayed active until last week. The county attorney said the contract is terminated, county access is cut off and decommissioning is underway. Commissioner Tripp Kester said his trust in the company is "zero."
