Dutchess County, NY legislators vote to cover any Flock cameras still standing after the Oct. 25 removal deadline
The Dutchess County Legislature unanimously approved a resolution requiring that any county Flock license-plate cameras still installed after the contractual Oct. 25 removal deadline be covered and stay covered until they come down. The county deactivated its Flock cameras on Sept. 25, after the district attorney and sheriff agreed to stop using the technology following a public forum. Sponsor Chris Drago said visible covers would reassure residents the cameras are off; Legislator Randy Johnson called covering and then removing the cameras a waste of work.
