Lebanon, Ohio council rejects ending its Flock contract 4-3; cameras stay bagged
A resolution from Council member Matt Sellers to terminate the city's Flock agreement failed 4-3 on Tuesday. Mayor Mark Messer said the city's 20 cameras will stay in place but remain covered; council shut them off and bagged them last month after Flock missed the city's deadline to answer more than 50 questions. Flock later responded, but Messer said its answers on data retention and security concerned him. Council then voted unanimously to have staff coordinate with public-safety officials on license-plate reader policy, and one member suggested a new agreement spelling out when data must be deleted.
