Penn State won't renew its Flock pilot and is removing the cameras from its main campus
At a Faculty Senate meeting on Tuesday, Senior Vice President for Business Sara Thorndike said University Police and Public Safety reviewed the system's cost, return on investment and operational value and decided not to renew the expired Flock agreement. She said the cameras on the University Park campus are being removed. She did not rule out other tools in the future, saying the university will keep assessing systems that may provide similar data.
