Sharonville, Ohio police lieutenant charged with a felony over alleged personal Flock searches
A Sharonville Police lieutenant was indicted on a fifth-degree felony count of unauthorized use of a computer, cable or telecommunication property. WVXU reported he used the Flock system 29 times between December 2024 and April to find someone he knew for personal reasons, and that he came forward after learning a department audit had flagged the searches. He is on administrative leave. He has been charged, not convicted. The police chief said the department is running an internal investigation and new training for every officer, and called Flock cameras a tremendous resource for solving violent crimes and finding missing people.
