Texas Comptroller bans grant money for Flock cameras and other ALPRs
Comptroller Don Huffines signed an executive order barring future grants his office administers from buying, contracting for, extending, or renewing Flock cameras, automated license-plate readers, and similar vehicle-identification systems. The ban also covers qualifying systems from Motorola, Axon, and other vendors. It does not by itself remove cameras already funded elsewhere.
