Crossville, Tennessee mayor's motion to cancel Flock fails for lack of a second

At the Oct. 13, 2026 Crossville City Council meeting, residents urged the city to end its Flock Safety contract for seven license-plate reader cameras. Mayor RJ Crawford later moved to cancel the contract and remove the cameras, saying "the juice is not worth the squeeze." The motion received no second and failed; the system remains in place. Local reporting said the current contract runs to February 2027.
