Sep 2026 · Contract canceled
Manvel, TX
Manvel City Council voted unanimously September 8, 2026 to end its Flock contract. ABC13 reported 21 cameras from a 2024 deal, covers within 24 to 48 hours, and 30 days’ notice to Flock. Manvel police said 535 outside agencies had access to the city’s Flock data. Mayor Dan Davis asked whether Flock uses city data to train AI tools; a Flock public-affairs director said that is part of making cameras more accurate and that the company does not sell customer data.
