Maries County, Missouri ends its Flock contract after a company representative skipped a public meeting
The Maries County Commission terminated the county's agreement with Flock on Monday morning, Oct. 19, 2026, ABC17 News reported, citing a post from the Maries County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Mark Morgan wrote that the commissioners had set up a public meeting on Oct. 15 in the Maries County Courtroom so residents could get their questions answered, and that he followed up with Flock several times to make sure a representative would attend, but no one showed up. Morgan said he spoke personally with the vendor afterward, was not satisfied with its response, and recommended the commission end the agreement. "When a partner fails to show up for our community, it indicates a lack of the professional accountability we require," he wrote. ABC17 noted that Pulaski County, Missouri ended its Flock contract in August after a community forum, while Jefferson City renewed its agreement in August.
